From December 6 - 9, 2012, Broward County will celebrate another first in American sports history! The Cricket Stadium at Central Broward Regional Park will be the main venue for the 4th Annual US Cricket Open.
Many teams combined with former International, National and local stars will be converging on beautiful South Florida to complete for the Championship Trophy and
$100,000.00 in prizes. Much like the format of major US golf and tennis opens, the US Cricket Open will be a fun-filled four day extravaganza (entertainment, cheerleaders,
food) that will be the richest and largest T20 cricket tournament to be played in North
America.
We are pleased to appoint the following individuals to the Tournament
Committee for this prestigious tournament:
Rizwan Mohammed, President, Florida Southeast Cricket League
Milton Taylor, President, South Florida Cricket Alliance
Barney Jones, President, Central Florida Cricket Association
Cricket Council USA congratulates Rizwan, Milton, and Barney on their appointment. We look forward to working with the three USACA league presidents in Florida to make the 2012 US Cricket Open a smashing success.
You are invited to commemorate this slice of sports history at the Opening Ceremony on Thursday, December 6, 2012 at 8:00am at Central Broward Regional Park. Cricket Council USA also invites you to attend the games and the U.S. Cricket Open Championship Trophy presentation on Sunday, December 9, 2012 at 4:00pm.
