Cricket Council USA (CCUSA) has announced that the Third Annual New England T20 Cricket Tournament will be broadcast live this Memorial Day Weekend on www.cricketcouncilusa.com. Hosted by the Connecticut Cricket League, the tournament will comprise the 2010 defending Champions from the Massachusetts State Cricket League, North East Regional Youth Team and the 2009 champions Southern Connecticut Cricket League. All games will be played at Keney Park, Hartford, CT and the action begins on Saturday, May 28, 2011 at 10:00AM.
"To demonstrate the willingness of Cricket Council USA's goal of sponsoring tournaments throughout the regions of the United States, we are excited again for the opportunity to be part of the 3rd Annual New England T20 Cricket Tournament,” stated Jeff Miller, Vice President of Operations. " As part of our promotions, we will broadcast all of the matches live including the opening and closing ceremonies. Cricket fans will be able to watch some of the best Cricketers in the North East Region compete for prize monies and the pride of winning the New England T20 Cricket Tournament Championship Trophy, " added Mr. Miller.
On Saturday evening, May 28th, Cricket Council USA, a sports and entertainment management company, Sam’s Food Stores and T20 Energy Drink will honor the competing teams and attending dignitaries at the Golden Circle Welcome Reception. The North East Region has established itself as one of the major regional participants for the 2011 U. S. Cricket Open to be held on December 1 – 4, 2011 at Central Broward Regional Cricket Stadium, Lauderhill, Florida.
Just like the “OPEN” format in major U.S. Golf and Tennis Opens, the U.S. Cricket Open Championship will have teams from the USA, Canada, England and Pakistan converging on beautiful South Florida to leave their mark in American sports history. The participating teams will have the names of its players, coaches and managers indelibly etched into the record books for competing in the 3rd Edition U.S. Cricket Open Championship for a first prize of $50,000.00.
