C.C.U.S.A. Organization and Mission Statement

Cricket Council U.S.A. (C.C.U.S.A.) is a professional Cricket and sports management organization, headquartered in Florida. We are committed to promoting the game of Cricket at the grass-root and professional levels in the United States of America.

The organization was formed in 2001 as one of several independent efforts by different organizations to develop and promote Cricket in the United States.

Our goal is to promote professional 20/20 Cricket at all levels in the United States of America and develop professional leagues with U.S. players who can successfully compete locally and internationally.

The C.C.U.S.A. management team has years of experience running, organizing and promoting Cricket in the U.S.A. One of our main objectives is to create an attractive business environment for U.S. and International companies to invest in the U.S. professional Cricket market.

Our goal is to establish long and short term sponsorship relationships with multi-national corporate entities to assure the continued growth of this wonderful sport of Cricket beyond the development stages.

C.C.U.S.A. also aims to develop a new generation of U.S. Cricketers at the grass-root level through an intensive program of coaching the fundamental skills of Cricket through our U.S. Cricket Academy Summer Camps.

Our immediate vision is to see 20/20 Cricket compete with other popular professional sports in the USA.

US Cricket Facts

Over the past 10 years, the sport of Cricket has gained tremendous momentum in the U.S.A. and abroad. It is a worldwide fact that Cricket is second only to Soccer in worldwide popularity as the most watched spectator sport. In America alone, there are over 750 Cricket clubs and over 35 leagues with more then 50,000 active Cricketers. This makes the United States of America the 9th most active Cricket playing country in the world.

It is also estimated that over 6 million Cricket fans reside in the United States from different Cricket playing nations such as Australia, England, New Zealand, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka and the West Indies.

With the introduction of the latest version of the short and fast paced 20/20 Cricket which suits the U.S. spectator sports market, Cricket is catching on very fast among the U.S. born population. It's no longer considered an ex-patriot sport!

The Event

C.C.U.S.A. is staging a 3-day Cricket extravaganza called "MAQ T20" International Cricket Tournament '08. The Tournament will be played in the brand new 71 million dollar Cricket Stadium in sunny South Florida.
